Connor Dougherty
Connor Dougherty was born in Ontario, Canada and raised in Buffalo, New York. He graduated cum laude from the University at Buffalo in 2016, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychologywith High Distinction. He then attended the University at Buffalo School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor, graduating cum laude, in 2019. While in law school, Connor focused on the study of criminal law and litigation. As a law student, he interned for the New York State Office of the Inspector General and the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office. Connor also competed across the country for the UB Law School Trial Team, participating in both civil and criminal competitions in Texas, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New York. He began working for Harrington & Mahoney as a student law clerk in 2017. He continued as an associate attorney with the firm when he was admitted to the bar.
Connor’s practice is in criminal defense. He is admitted to practice in all New York State courts and the federal court for the Western District of New York. Connor is currently a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Erie County, the Niagara County Bar Association, the New York State Defenders Association, and the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. In addition to his private practice, he also handles criminal matters for the Assigned Counsel Program of Erie County.
