Immigration and Naturalization

Because of our position on one of the busiest borders with Canada, and the substantial percentage of our clients who are Canadian residents or nationals, we have always insured that we were familiar with the possible immigration consequences of criminal prosecutions. We also have frequently assisted Canadians who had difficulty entering the U.S. because of a prior criminal prosecution..

In recent years that concern has led us to associate with a full-time immigration counsel to share office space with us, so that a full range of immigration and naturalization services could be provided to our clients, including those wishing temporarily or permanently to reside in the United States to adjust their status or extend a stay in this country. Since the District Office of the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service with jurisdiction over most of New York State is located in Buffalo, we are able' to assist clients throughout upstate New York.
